Minislack - A Linux Distro For The Newbie
DesktopLinux.com is running the article 'A newbie's introduction to Minislack.' Minislack is a distribution focused on desktop usage. So there are a limited number of programming tools and application software options. This could be a good desktop for the newbie due to the limited number of options.
Minislack is a stripped down version of Slackware. Minislack cut items that were not focused on the desktop. Mini in this case does not refer to micro. You will need to have some hard drive space.
You can get MiniSlack from their website.
